Searching for the ultimate Cleopatra Costume for Halloween?
Halloween in New York is a critical night of the year.
It’s undoubtedly one of the biggest party weekends and it’s one of those weekends that New Yorkers really go all out for.
With such a jam-packed night of parties, dinners, and spooks – your costume is major!
First things first, you’ve gotta get your outfit on point and make sure you’re looking sharp.
But there’s more to it than that.
You also need to gear up for the potential chilly weather and all the dance moves you’ll be busting out. So, being comfy is just as crucial as your style game.
After scouring the internet for weeks, I finally decided that a Cleopatra costume was the ultimate hot comfy girl look for this year’s Halloween.
I created my Cleopatra Costume look for under $50 combining clothes I already had and loads of cheap accessories.
Cleopatra Costume Inspiration
After searching Pinterest and TikTok, these two photos were my favorite Cleopatra Halloween Costumes that I came across.
As you can see, you can really pull together some cheap basic pieces that you may already own in your wardrobe or be able to easily order off Amazon.
Pulling off this look is all in the makeup and accessory details.
Cleopatra Makeup Inspiration
I can’t tell you how many makeup tutorials I watched for Cleopatra Halloween makeup! Here are a couple of my favorites that I used for inspiration.
Everything I Used For My Cleopatra Halloween Look

Costume basics
My black corset top and long black skirt are from Princess Polly. They are easy staples in my everyday wardrobe.
While heavily debating on wearing heels or my Vince Camuto boots, I went with the boots as the comfiest option. I can walk miles in these boots and dance all night, and my feet won’t even shed a tear.
Cleopatra Costume Amazon Finds
If you don’t already own a combo of clothes that could pass off the Cleo look, these are a couple of Amazon items that someone on Pinterest mentioned they used for their costume.

My Cleopatra Accessories
Starting from head to toe!
Most of the accessories I got from SHEIN and Amazon.
I started off with this amazing and cheap black wig. I feel like if you have dark hair you can rock with or without a bob, I just REALLY wanted to wear a wig! This wig didn’t come with wig caps so you’ll have to order those separately.
I braided a couple of tiny bits in the front and embellished them with golden hair cuffs which really pulled the wig together.
The final touch to the bob was of course none other than a Cleopatra head chain. This will definitely need a few bobby pins to hold it in place.

This Cleopatra look is all in the details. Add a faux snake nose ring and a classic Egyptian textured necklace to make your costume stand out.
Perhaps the most important accessory of this costume is the golden waist chain belt. For me, this was the costume statement piece and what I received the most comments on.
To have a little extra gold in between my face and waist, I added a golden arm cuff.

Cleopatra Makeup
My Cleopatra Makeup consisted of my normal going-out makeup + blue eyeshadow, fake eyelashes, and gold glitter.

You can put eyelash glue on your eyelids and use a fine-tip eyeshadow brush to stick in the gold glitter to coat your eyelids.
If you’re searching for that classic Cleo blue, check out this ELF blue eyeshadow stick. It was perfect!
Cleo Lip Combo
For the lips, I wanted a dark velvety look. I used a combination of Gucci Joanna Burgundy and Lip Cheat Intense-3.
However, I think any dark berry lipstick you have will totally work.
Another favorite (and cheaper) lip combination I love is the Sephora Satin Lipstick – Never Enough #20 with a darker lip liner.
That concludes my ultimate Cleopatra Look!
I hope the inspiration, creation, and accessory links are all helpful for you to create your own Cleopatra Halloween Costume.
